Music for All

We went to Mama Compton's for lunch -- it's the cafe cum general store cum specialty shop run by our host at CSz-QC, Jeff. We noshed on a variety of goodies including Tomato Bisque, Chicken Pot Pie soup, some delicious marshmallow candies, and what Corey considers to be the greatest Egg Salad on earth. I am starting to believe he is right.

We then took a scenic tour of the Quad Cities on our way to find some sheet music for Monique. We wound up at West's Music, a music store that used to be a used car dealership. They were very receptive and patient with us as we dug through scores and books, and played their instruments, include a lovely saxophone solo by Monique. We were loud, but well-recieved. On our way back to the hotel, we stopped at Walgreens for miscellaneous drugs and snack. Yum - Shortbread Caramel Cookies!

We have now spent a couple of hours watching football (horns suck) and are prepping to go to the club. Although we will only be doing one show, we will be accompanied by a live band. That should be sweet.

Pictures to follow . . .
